Los Rios Rock School isn’t your average “music lessons” place. We combine one-on-one instruction with a full band experience. That means, instead of simply “playing an instrument,” our students learn how to think, feel, and create as a musician.
Here’s a breakdown of everything you get.
$450 / month
All of it. Month by month. No contracts.
- Be taught by professional multi-instrumentalist, degreed instructors who are also current composers and session musicians.
- Use 1 of 7 Large Rehearsal Labs so your student can play across from their instructor. This way, they can experience their musical part instead of only solving puzzles (like most music lessons).
- Can also experiment with any of the other instruments the teacher plays/teaches.
- A custom Learning Management App profile with their homework, chat, leaderboards, badges, and practice timer.
- Monday nights for Jam 99 from 7:30 to 9 PM. On Saturdays, Jam 99 at 10 AM and Horn Club at 11 AM.
- Group Song Workshop held on our pro stage where you play with other students and work through a song a week.
- Teen Jam and Hang, Monday nights 7:30 to 9 PM for students ages 12 and up.
- Auditions for one of three levels: Jam 101, Jam 102 or Advanced 103, plus our popular Jazz/Blues Club.
- The Live Concert Program requires 1 or 2 hour-long rehearsals per week.
- The school performs 100 songs picked by the students every 4 months, live in concert.
- Masterclass workshops all summer long: songwriting, basic home recording, advanced recording, stage and studio performance, college prep and more.
Flex Family Program
Crafting musicians, one note at a time.
Personalized 30-minute music lessons, scheduled flexibly between 11am and 3pm Monday through Friday. These sessions are designed to match your child’s individual skill level and musical goals.

We teach adults to be musicians.
Same programme, same rooms, same instructors. Adult jam groups rehearse Wednesday nights, 8:30 to 10:30 pm. Once your jam group is ready, you will start preparing your set list to play a real show.

Summer rock camps
Building confidence in kids since 2009.
Seven camp weeks, ages 6 to 17, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 12pm, with a live performance on the pro stage on the last day of camp.

FAQs
- Are there contracts?
- No contracts or long-term commitments. Start and stop at any time. It is month by month.
- What’s the age limit?
- For beginning to advanced students ages 6 and up. We also run a full adult program that rehearses Wednesday nights, 8:30 to 10:30 pm.
- Do students have to do live performances?
- Every quarter students can audition for our live concert performance. Once a student’s teacher feels they are ready, the teacher guides them through their audition for Jam 101, Jam 102 or Advanced 103.
- How do we know you’ll find the right teacher for my kid?
- When you enrol we match your student to the teacher who fits them. Come tour the campus first, see what makes the school rock, and tell us about your student’s goals.
- Can I visit before signing up?
- Yes. We are a closed campus, so call or message for a free private tour and we’ll get you on the calendar. Family tours run 30 minutes.
